Epoch Church (3/5)

“When we were ready to commit we met with Nathan and Grant and I kind of just laid it on the table- my sobriety and all that. I never once felt judged. I felt accepted and welcomed by them. For me it’s like talking to really close friends. And on the second time of meeting with our family group, I knew I needed to share this part of my life with them because my sobriety is such a huge part of my life and I’m not anonymous cause I feel like I can help people if given the opportunity. So we shared it with our family group and they were just as welcoming and accepting. We have never felt that we couldn’t be ourselves- our true selves. We’ve been married 11 years and you learn a lot in 11 years- you learn a lot about yourself and each other. Due to past circumstances and with Epoch, we are at a great place spiritually and as a family. I know it will never be perfect and I don’t want it to be perfect but I feel like we are headed in the right direction. A big part of that is Epoch. We’ve made some amazing friends and we’ve been able to serve- that was important to Brittani and us as a couple because we knew we wanted to serve.”
